Dear Elaine,

A very warm welcome to our September newsletter. We are gearing up for the last courses this autumn, and it might be timely to say why we do not continue our courses right through the winter. Briefly this is because we find that people don't benefit as much from a week on all raw and living foods, delicious though our menus are, in the colder months. In fact for people treading this path for the first time, it could be quite counterproductive to start out in the winter. Chinese Medicine and Naturopathic principles both emphasise the importance of eating seasonally, and detoxing in the warmer times of year, while building up and conserving energy in the winter. I will be writing fully on this subject elsewhere, and will keep you posted. Meanwhile, we are proud to put the principles of long term vibrant health and safe and steady recuperation from ill health at the top of our priorities, when offering weeklong courses, so there won't be another one after October 13-19th til next spring!

A weekend is a different matter. Our relaxed introduction to the Living Foods Programme will give you a great insight without stressing out your liver and kidneys, so as well as the weekend of October 27-28th this year there will be weekends in January and February, to help you to get your own priorities set for the year.

Pete
I am delighted to welcome Pete Vincent, whom many of you will know from the Fresh Network. Now offering consultancy in Live Blood Analysis, he is actively continuing his pursuit of knowledge and experience in the field of health. He has written an excellent article explaining Cellular Health for us.

On Kate, our graphic designer.
She's the one who gets the text looking good and puts the pix in the right places. She's also the one who has recently re-shaped the website, and the new shop. It's getting its final touches shortly, so watch out for when it goes live. We'll let you know first!

Coleslaw with almond and grapefruit mayonnaise.
Sorry we don't have a picture of this at the moment. It was eaten before I could photograph it!
