Spring 2009
In This Issue

Hello, just after the Spring Equinox, you can feel the change in the air, and suddenly, sticky moments smooth themselves out, and things feel more possible than they did.

Sadly for some, with reduced earnings and even lost jobs, the spring sunshine doesn't bring quite the same uplift. I'm hearing stories of difficulty, and have special sympathy for people who have to make difficult choices about their health.

On a general level, our course and consultation fees have been pegged to 2007 levels, and I've also decided to offer a bursary on the courses in June and October. If you feel you need this, please write directly to me and we'll take it from there. Your details will be treated with complete confidentiality.

We don't offer work exchange, and I personally think this is a clearer cut way of offering the full course, at a much reduced cost.

I'm also thinking some of you might like a one day seminar, so I'll look for some dates and let you know.

Keep an eye on the latest news slot on the home page www.livingfoods.co.uk

The fantastic exotic blossoms are from Costa Rica, sent by Eric Rivkin. Many thanks Eric, for the glimpse of hot sunshine.
We sometimes have items like juicers and dehydrators left here with the message "can you find a home for this?", so I have decided to offer an exchange service for readers. You send a description and your contact details, and the price you want for it, and we will "advertise" it for you. We won't take any responsibility for any equipment, (sounds like E-Bay or something) but you can see that we can't do more than put potential buyers and sellers in touch and then it's down to you. So if you need to get back a bit of cash on something you no longer need, give it a go, And if you want a second hand juicer etc, send us your details and what you need. You can then negotiate price etc with each other.

We would need to know when you've successfully made a deal, or the list will quickly become out of date.

Champion Juicer, wanted for new organic café

Actually I do know this one, she's a friend of mine, and she just launched a great little café in Hereford. I'll be dropping in for a wheatgrass shot and a salad next week, so I'll take my camera too.
Contact Grace at gomati@aol.com if you can help with this one.

Things people have left here, are an automatic sprouter, an Excalibur dehydrator (the owner wants £100) and a water distiller! (£50)
These are for collection only, we are not able to ship them, so if you are able to collect, (Ludlow, South Shropshire) get in touch to arrange a time. Please do not call in without prior arrangement. They may already have gone to course members, so check first.

It's spring cleaning time again, so here is my latest article for the Fresh Mag, just out. Have you got your copy? Did you see the recent rather silly items in some papers about "detoxing is not necessary" and that by implication a lot of the associated items and retreats are just money making ventures. Well, some of them maybe, but the process of helping yourself in spring and autumn to rebalance and shed some of the accumulated rubbish is a very good idea, and a lot of it you can do at home.

Our Friends at "Yes to Life" cancer support group, are putting on a fund raiser; A Premiere showing of the theatre production of the Calendar Girls in London.

On Tuesday 28th April at the Noel Coward Theatre in St. Martins Lane

It will be a glamorous evening, the play will be a moving and funny and glowing rendition of the story we've all seen on screen, and you get to mingle with the stars!
If you are wanting to join the select band of people who hold our certification as Living Foods Practitioners, there's still time for the April course if you apply now.

Such a simple evocation of Springtime, so full of promise & hope, freshness & vitality.

The Spring Equinox guides us to release & shed old energy physically, mentally, emotionally & environmentally. Let go of 'stuff' you no longer need, that you are carrying around or hanging onto. Rejoice in simplicity & a lighter you. Make way for the new to come in. Welcome new ideas, insights, dreams & visions.Plant your today & tomorrow in fertile soil. Look on in delight as you grow & evolve. Change is all around us & we need to keep our feet on Mother Earth so that she may remind us who we are & why we are here at this time. The Spring Equinox brings with it a clear communication to speak your truth, to deal with & then release any anger, bitterness, frustration or resentment, to put ideas into practice, to move your body, to celebrate... People often comment that they feel tired at this time - no wonder, with the rapid growth all around us. So, remember to balance activity with stillness. Enjoy this time of renewal & of a new awareness with love & with gratitude.

Spring Equinox blessings, Nicky
