Organic Spelt - 5 Kg

SPELT is an ancient form of wheat which has not been bred for its starch or gluten properties. Therefore it has retained its excellent flavour and makes a delicious flour. Spelt can be sprouted or grown into grass for juicing. As a grass it is very similar to wheat grass but many believe organic spelt grain produces the best lush green grass for juicing.

Spelt contains more vitamins B-1 and B-2 than other grains and supplies us with valuable minerals. Its beneficial amino acid balance is unique among grains.

Biologically, spelt closely resembles wheat. Yet because of its great solubility many wheat-sensitive individuals seem to tolerate it very well. It contains a little more gluten than wheat, so is the only Superfood that makes excellent loaves of yeast-raised bread. For flavour spelt can't be beaten.

This organic spelt grain is grown in Italy. 5 kgs is enough to grow approximately 7 to 10 standard trays of fresh wheat grass.
